Dialectical Behavior

Therapy (DBT)

High School Teens Ages 14-18

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) provides effective coping strategies for teens and their families who struggle with a variety of concerns including:

Low Self Esteem
Poor Impulse Control
Self-Harm Behaviors
Difficulty Managing Emotions
Conflict at Home
High Risk Behaviors
Eating Disorders
Low Frustration Tolerance

This 16-week program will teach you and your teen various skills through four DBT coping skills modules. The modules include:

Mindfulness (learning to effectively manage thoughts and feelings)
Distress Tolerance (learning to tolerate stress in a healthy way)
Emotional Regulation (understanding where emotions come from and how to manage them)
Interpersonal Effectiveness (learning to communicate with family and friends appropriately)
Walking the Middle Path (identifying ways teens and parents can improve their relationships and understanding of each other)
