David Mosely, Psy.D.

Dr. Mosely sees pre-teens, teenagers, and adults for therapy and psychological evaluations. In therapy, his approach to treatment focuses on increasing awareness of emotions and problematic patterns of thoughts and behaviors. Dr. Mosely works from an integrated theoretical background that primarily draws from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), interpersonal therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. While he enjoys working with people of all genders in therapy, Dr. Mosely primarily works with teenage boys and adult men. Dr. Mosely began working with young men at a Boy Scout camp called Lost Valley in Southern California when he was 15 years old. Dr. Mosely went on to work 9 consecutive summers at Lost Valley and still wishes he could return for a 10th. Dr. Mosely earned his Eagle Scout rank in 2011 and now enjoys spending his free time hiking and doing other outdoor activities.

Dr. Mosely conducts psychological evaluations for a variety of presenting concerns. Dr. Mosely enjoys testing for suspected cases of ADHD with children, teenagers, and adults. Dr. Mosely has a solid background in conducting evaluations with teenagers who have been engaging in aggressive, disruptive, and/or illegal behavior including substance use. Dr. Mosely also enjoys doing psychodiagnostic evaluations to clarify diagnoses, rule out potential diagnoses, and provide holistic, research-driven recommendations.
