Mary B. Moore, LCSW

Greetings!

My passion is connecting with parents and children in meaningful ways and helping them to develop skills so that they may be their best and flourish. My specialities include parenting, childhood anxiety, social emotional learning (SEL) skill development, Asperger’s/ASD, grief/loss, collecting Bobafett memorabilia, and creating clever catch phrases, like “Connect Before You Direct,” “Pause. Rewind. Do Over,” and “Involve to Solve” to help parents and children, ages 3 to 14.

It brings me great joy to walk alongside parents and children helping them to discover their inner superpowers and develop skills, so that they experience more confidence, happiness, and success in their friend and family lives. I provide individual therapy, parent skills coaching, and social skills groups, aka “Friendship Club.” In addition, I provide Purposeful Parenting Workshops, community talks, and a free monthly parent support group for parents of neuro-diverse kids.

I believe in using a positive, strength-based, and skills-focused approach to learning tools and strategies that are simple, practical, memorable, and effective. My training and work integrates the science and evidenced-based practices (EBP) from the fields of Positive Psychology, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (M-CBT), Attachment Theory, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Neuroscience.

In addition to all things Star Wars, I love playing guessing games, Legos, Nerf Gun battles, and watching action movies with my 3 energetic boys and patient husband, Dan.
