Experience has taught me that the therapeutic process is a team effort, and I encourage clients to bring their unique gifts, strengths, and expertise to the table as together we search for solutions and a way forward. I am enthusiastic about helping teens, adults, couples, and families deal with anxiety, panic issues, depression, chronic pain or illness, grief, adjustment issues, and the unique challenges LGBTQIA+ individuals face, including LGBTQIA+ couples’ relational concerns, gender transitioning, spirituality, and family acceptance. I tailor my approach based on your needs and situation, using a variety of strategies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Systemic-Family Therapy, Dialectic Behavior Therapy, and the Matrix Model for addiction treatment. I will often incorporate Motivational Interviewing principles into our time together, as we work toward the goals and outcomes you have been hoping to achieve.
