Tarik Sloussi, M.A., LCMHC
Tarik is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in the state of North Carolina. He started out as a college intern at Southeast Psych almost a decade ago and is now a member of the Leadership Team.
As a psychotherapist, Tarik specializes in working with adolescent and young adult guys and their families. His areas of expertise include thought, mood, behavioral and adjustment related problems (i.e. depression, anxiety, anger management, grief, trauma, failure to launch, relational difficulties, etc.).
Tarik believes that maintaining an open, honest and nonjudgemental environment is vital to the treatment process. He implements a warm yet direct approach that pulls from a variety of therapeutic philosophies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and positive psychology.
