Courtney provides a warm, personable and safe space for individuals seeking support by using a person-centered approach. She has the intention of building a strong therapeutic relationship, because in order to be vulnerable and grow, clients must first feel safe.
Courtney is a licensed clinical social worker who enjoys working with adolescent (14+) and adult women who struggle with anxiety, trauma, identity development, difficult relationships, self-love and life transitions. Courtney incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness to support individual’s journey to heal from trauma, strengthen relationships and increase self-esteem. She also works with the families of adolescents to bolster the relationship with their children.
Expertise:
Courtney has a bachelor and master’s degree in social work. She has experience working with children, teens and adults who have experienced anxiety, PTSD, depression, emotional dysregulation and behavior concerns. Courtney has worked with children in foster care, adults and children who experienced domestic violence and sexual assault and children (8-20) who caused sexual harm.
